Lace fantasy stitch pattern

This lace stitch is an elegant an easy pattern that is most suitable for lace, fine or super fine yarn. You can combine it with other stitches or use it for making a cool summer sweater!

Abbreviations

  • Ch: Chain

  • Sk: Skip

  • Sc: Single crochet

  • Dc: Double crochet

  • Tr: Treble crochet (triple crochet)

  • dc3tog: 3 dc together

  • dc2tog: 2 dc together

Step 1: Make a ch multiple of 10.

Row 1: Ch4, Dc1 in 4th ch from hook, (ch5, sk5, sc1, ch5, dc3 in same st) repeat and in the last st, dc2. Turn.

Row 2: Ch3 (counts as 1st dc), dc1 on top of last row’s dc, ch5, sc on top of last row’s sc, ch5, dc3 (on top of last row’s dc), repeat until end of row. In the last 2 st, dc on top of each one and turn.

Row 3: Ch3, dc1, ch5, dc1 on top of last' row’s sc, ch5, dc3tog on top of last row’s dc, repeat until end of row. In last 2 st, make dc2tog, and turn.

Row 4: Ch1, Sc1 in same 1st st, 5ch, dc3 on top of last row’s dc, ch5, sc on top of last row’s dc3tog, repeat until end of row. In last st (dc2tog), sc, ch1, and turn.

Row 5: Ch1, sc1 in same 1st st, 5ch, dc3 (on top of last row’s dc), repeat until end of row. In the last st, sc1 and turn.

Row 6: Ch8 (counts as 1st dc + ch5), dc3tog on top of last row’s dc, ch5, dc1 on top of last row’s sc, repeat until end of row. In last st, dc1 and turn.

Row 7: Ch3, dc1 on the 1st st, ch5, sc on top of last row’s dc3tog, ch5, dc3 on top of last row’s dc, repeat until end of row. In last st (3rd st of the turning ch), dc2 and turn.

Next rows: Repeat row 2 to 7.
